Abigail Pearl Ross update

Little Abigail Pearl's consultation with the heart surgeon has been rescheduled. They are now set to meet him Tuesday, April 14th. Please keep praying for Abigail Pearl's heart to heal...so she won't have to have the surgery!! God can do that!!! :))))

Update on David Smith - Monday

The doctors have now closed David's chest. He is back on dialysis tho, so please pray that the kidneys stabilize. His left side is responding more...keep praying about that! They want to start trying to remove the ventilator tomorrow/Tuesday, so pray that all goes well. Please continue to pray for Debbie and the children. Thank you!

We have been notified that the lawsuit has been dismissed!!!
It does say "dismissal without prejudice and therefore, this would
not preclude a suit from being refiled"...so we have another year or so to wait and see..but
it is still really good news and a giant step in the right direction!!

Pat Fulton is in the Hospital. She is severely dehydrated, so they have her hooked up to fluids. However, there is a possibility that with all these fluids, it may go to her lungs and cause pneumonia...so please pray against that and that the fluids do only what they are suppose to do. Praise, however, her areas of cancer are smaller now, so that's good!!

David Smith Update Thursday

Debbie saw David this morning, and his pulse is now a normal 70. Praise the Lord!!! They are going to possibly close him tomorrow, if he remains stable. His left side, especially his left arm, is remaining swollen. They are going to do a CT scan to check and see if there may be a blood clot. He is responding to Debbie this morning, but of course he is still heavily sedated. Pray for the kidneys to come back to full functioning with no damage. Debbie just left the hospital to go to work for a while this afternoon. Debbie says thanks for all the prayers.

David Smith update Mon. PM

David's surgery was successful. Debbie said that the V-Tachs have stopped. Basically, the heart was misfiring, because it had created new pathways. They closed off the pathways, and the heart rate is now normal. They will wait to make sure all is well, and they will close him up at another time. Please keep David in your prayers...that he will be stable, and no more surgeries will be required. Thanks, Deborah Kolber

Mon. AM Update on David Smith

David's surgery is this afternoon for the oblation. Pray that this stops the tachycardia and that the heart will function normally with the assistance of the LVAD. Thank you!

Tuesday update on David Smith

David is still in V-Tach and has had upwards to 155 beats per minute since 2:30 yesterday afternoon. They are going to do a procedure on him that will take him back to the operating room tomorrow. It is called oblation where they will burn portions of the area that may be causing the problem. Supposedly, this will help him come out of the tachycardia. He is still under heavy sedation, but is responding to Debbie. Debbie is growing weary in this roller coaster. She was hoping that David would be stable by now. Pray for strength for her, and that this procedure will bring him back into a normal heart rhythm.

Hutch Lango will be having gall bladder surgery this Wednesday (3/25) morning at West Houston Medical Center on Richmond. Please pray all goes well as well and for a complete recovery within the expected time frame. Kenneth Pylate

Please pray for Kenneth Pylate. He is undergoing surgery today for colon cancer. There are blockages in his colon, so they have to remove it. The cancer has spread to his liver, but we are hoping they will be able to slow the progress down. They had originally only given him 3 months to live, but that was two years ago and he has been a fighter. Pray for the whole family – Wanda, His mom is faithful, but grieving as she never expected to out live one of her children. He is in his 50’s, and Wanda is in her late 70’s.

Monday morning update on David Smith

As of this morning, David is still having very rapid heart beats, so rapid that the doctors have had to shock his heart back into rhythm. (V-tak, it's called.) David still has some infection going on. They will be doing a CT Scan today. Please pray for the doctors to have clarity and wisdom in their decisions. Pray for Strength for everyone involved and Peace for the family. Thank you!

Carlos Angula update

Carlos is still in critical care. His mother is a nurse and feared that he'll be paraplygic. The doctors said he'll probably be quadraplygic. We know that God can intervene!! Please continue to pray for Carlos and his family!! Thank you!

Saturday evening update on David Smith

They took David in for surgery Friday. They found that he had blood clots under the lung, which they removed and then sewed him back up. His lungs collapsed after that tho, and they had to take him back in for surgery...and also removed another blood clot from the lung. They then decided to leave him open for a few more days, until they see that he is stabilized. He is having tachycardia (rapid heart beats) for over 10 minutes. They have to shock the heart back into rhythm. This occurs periodically. He is stable, but has a fever (which could be possible infection somewhere). His left side still isn't responding completely as it should. He will be in ICU for at least another two weeks. Debbie said that David has had awesome nurses tho!! Praise the Lord for those kind nurses!!
Please pray for David to stabilize and improve. Pray for Debbie and the kids to have some peace and rest. (She is going to put the kids back in school this next week and is going to try and go back to work some herself.)

Thursday update on David Smith

A couple of Praises!! David's left side is responding a little bit, and he's been somewhat conscious, communicating with Debbie!! Praise the Lord!! He is still on the ventilator and still in ICU. Please pray that David's kidneys start working better, and that he remains calm in the process of coming out of the sedated state.
Debbie is faced with the decision of having to go back to work on Monday, so please comtinue to pray for them...David's healing and Peace for Debbie and the children!! Your prayers are working!!! Thank you!!

Richard stood up for the first time in 3 months (a total of 49 minutes), and he is happy to pass that on! This is a major milestone in his recovery and an answer to a lot of prayer, so now he is looking forward to the day when he can dance in the aisles at church.

Tuesday David Smith

David is off dialysis, so that's good news! The doctors 'see' something tho on the right side of David's brain, and the left side of his body is not responding. It is not known at this point if David has had a stroke. Please keep praying!! Thank you!!!

Monday update - David S.

David's kidneys are functioning better. The Saturday work in the operating room has caused the heart to have better functioning as well. He is taking baby steps towards improvement! Debbie is being trained on how to use the machine for when he returns home. They have given her a room to be close by for him. Her spirits seem good. Please keep the prayers going!! Thank you!!!

David and Debbie's great niece Lilly Grace is 8 or 9 days old. She is deaf in one ear and possible the other. There is also a possibility of blindness all of which was caused by a virus she got. Please pray for her and her parents. Thank you!!!

David is on a kidney dialysis machine, but (like the heart machine) it's to help him. He will be going back into surgery today to deal with some bleeding, but this was expected. Pray for good results from that CT scan and for continued stability! Pray for Strength, Peace and Comfort for Debbie...and the children! Thank you for your prayers!!!

Gayle Burgess & Gene Tass

Gayle Burgess is the leader of the Youth Committee for the Elks Lodge. She is a wonderful single mother of 3 teenagers and devotes a lot of her time to the youth and other activities at the lodge for the different committees. She is having 2 feet of her large colon removed on Tuesday. They are hoping it is not cancerous, but will not know until the surgery. She is at Katy Memorial Hospital. She has been in and out of there for several weeks with several different problems including a blood clot in her colon. This last time she was taken by ambulance to the ER on Wednesday afternoon. She will be in the hospital for up to 10 days and then at home in recovery for about 3 weeks.
Also, her boyfriend is our Exalted Ruler at the lodge and his father, Gene Tass, has been a lodge member for over 50 years and is having severe pains in his legs and they might have to amputate them. He is such wonderful story teller. He has seen all and done all. He is 80+ years old, Pray that they can find another treatment for him.

Davis Smith update #2

David is out of the operating room. He is in ICU, but is on a heart machine and ventilator. (The machine is to keep his heart pumping. It's doing the work...to give his heart a rest from working so hard.) David will possibly be unconscious for up to 2 weeks. Please continue to pray for David...and for the rest of his family! Dear God, I'm in trouble, I am 20yrs old, and I am growing even more doubtful of you being in today's world. While others are doing things that I don't agree with, am I really judging which will put me in hell with them? What should I do? Are you real? Urgent Prayer Request!! David Smith has been in surgery since 8:30am this morning. They have not been able to do all they need to do, because the right side of his heart showed fatigue. They did some necessary replacement there, but it's not looking good!! Please pray for David, the doctors, and Debbie. My Mother is out of surgery and in ICU. She seems to be doing ok. The Dr. says they were able to get most of the two clots in her brain. She will be in ICU for several days and only time will tell what damage has been done. God has Blessed us. Thank you for your support and prayers.
