Bruce & Cathy Vogel's grandbaby, Molly May, was born yesterday at 1:29pm. She weighed in at about 7 lbs. and measured 19" long. :))))) Praise the Lord for the miracle of life!! :)))))

I would like to offer mom up for prayer again. Her esophagus is acting up, so she is having trouble getting food to go down. The scleroderma has attacked it, but we thought we had it under control. She is having another flare up. Some people with scleroderma end up on feeding tubes for this very reason. I call for prayer that the Lord will again place His hand on the situation and sustain her again for His glory.

Please pray for Diane......she has had to make a hard decision this week to proceed with hospice care for her husband, D.E..........he was in a car accident over 10 years ago and has spent the last 10 years in and out of the hospital. His body had so much internal injuries that he fights constant infection. The medication is no longer working. He is only 52........his body is a mess, but his mind is perfectly clear. Although he agreed with this decision, he is in fear of pain. It will just be a matter of time now. Please pray for peace for all of them (he also has two sons, a mother and a sister).
Also, Diane and her sister Tracy (my neighbor) have hospice care for their mother who has brain cancer. She has been fighting this for about three years. They have no aunts/uncles/cousins, so they have been helping their father care for their sick mother. This family is dealing with alot. Your prayers are appreciated.

A very dear friend (for more than 25 years now) is on her way home to her mom. Her mom is dying of pancreatic cancer and the doctors really don't expect her to last long. She wants to make it until after October 25, 2008 when her granddaughter will get married. Please send up a prayer for Nellie's mom that she make it way past October 25. I know if it were me I wouldn't like to think my grandmother just made it to my wedding and then passed away. So I'm really asking for prayers for the whole family.

Dear Prayer Warriors,
We praise the Lord that we were able to get an appointment with the urologist yesterday afternoon. He received the report from the ER, and it showed no urinary tract infection. He said that after you have a severe infection, you can still experience symptoms like you are having an infection. He took her off the antibiotic by mouth that the ER doctor prescribed for her. We thank you all for all your prayers.

Alyssa Sager Update 8/15/08

Thanks to all of you for approaching the Throne of God on Alyssa's behalf! She is doing well. I have attached a photo. Her hair has fallen out, and she dons a wig...which she loves! Her 2nd treatments starts today, Friday, Aug 15th, at Texas Children's Hospital. She'll be admitted in the morning and treatments will continue for 3 days. Please, thank the Lord in advance for the success of this journey and for His purpose in allowing it. It is our prayer that all of us will be drawn deeper in our walk of faith with Him. This gives us a small taste of what Jesus WILLINGLY went through for us!
And while you're at it, please say a special prayer for Alyssa's Grandfather, Grumps, who is having an angioplasty tomorrow. Thank you!

Please pray for Walter Marx, owner of Katy Radiator. He was put in the hospital last week with complications from diabetes and other things. Please lift a young lady named Darcy. She has been very ill and was taken to the ER last week, was stabilized and released. But her symptoms have returned and she is seeing a neurologist on Friday. She is afraid to be alone and has been tormented by nightmares. She does not have insurance, neither does she know our Lord.

Miss Irwanna is home!!!

Dear Prayer Warriors,
We want to thank God that my Mom, Irwanna, is home from the hospital. She is taking her antibiotics thru the veins each morning thru this Sat. Please pray that she is able to walk better. She is using a walker, because the muscles are weak in her legs from the allergic reaction to the first antibiotic. Thank you for all your prayers and cards.

My mother, Irwanna Shelton was admitted to the hospital on Fri pm after a reaction to a new antibiotic for her bladder infection. She is alert now and feeling better. The Dr. will decide what antibiotic to try next and when. Thanks for all your prayers. Jean Ann Perryman
