Dear Prayer Warriors,
Please pray for my Mom, Irwanna Shelton, as she will have a port put in this afternoon and will start an antibiotic thru an I.V. for 10 days to treat a bladder infection. She will go to Christus St. Catherine at the Day Stay for the I.V. to be given once a day and then go home. She is allergic to so many antibiotics it is hard to find one she can safely take. Thank you for all your prayers.

Leah Hobelman was admitted to the hospital Tuesday with a high fever. She is currently on a breathing machine. The doctors have found a spot in her lung. She is at Memorial Hermann off of Grand Parkway/Hwy. 99 in Rm. 516. Please lift the whole family up in prayer due to much turmoil between her mother and Leah's husband.

Please continue to pray for Myrna and Sonia's mom. The surgery was successful last Thursday. The tumor was removed from her brain. Right now, she is in an induced coma. Please continue to pray...for reduced inflamation in her brain and for the arteries to be stable.

This is from Alyssa's Grandpa (Rose's Dad)...

All the tests are back now on Alyssa! The last two, the Bone Marrow Biopsy and the Bone Scan were both "negative" -- normal. Rose, Curtis and Alyssa went yesterday for the "full disclosure" conference in which they outlined the proposed treatment regimen and what the risks might be. She will be getting what they call ABVE-PC which from what I can tell from my reading is right at the forefront of new protocols that have the highest success rate with the lowest rate of side-effects.
This all starts on Wednesday morning at about 8 AM. They will place a Port while she is asleep and then begin her first course of Chemo thru that port the same day. She will remain in the hospital thru Friday, and return a week later for one more day of Chemo. Follow-up blood tests can be done locally and Rose can administer the Bone Marrow and Immune System stimulating shots at home. In three weeks she repeats the process.
Of all the things that have been overwhelming for Rose and Curtis, I don't think they were prepared to be overwhelmed by the volume and strength of all your letters and prayers. Just so you know, Alyssa's grumps is quite overwhelmed too. Thanks guys.

Corey Bicanich

Please pray for Corey Bicanich to show improvement. He is in a rehabilitation facility in Morgantown, WV. Corey was severely injured in a car accident 2 1/2 years ago. He was left with severe brain damage. He can remain in rehab as long as he shows improvement. Pray that God will intervene and that Corey will improve not only physically but mentally and enjoy a better quality of life.
Corey is the brother of my daughter Ellen's friend.

David had some places removed and several sent for biopsy. They go back to the doctor tomorrow. Their prayer is that it can be treated while they are there. Susan asks,

Ruffin Gray

Please pray for Ruffin Gray. He is in his mid-80's and has been in overall good health. They recently discovered a blood clot in his intestines. He has had 3 surgeries since then. There is still some internal bleeding, so he will be going in for yet another surgery. Please pray for wisdom for the (new) doctors and restored health for Ruffin. Pray also for his wife...she is diabetic and needs constant care. Thank you!

Hutch's nephew

Please pray for Hutch's nephew Matt. He is 19 and very depressed. He hasmade more than one attempt to commit suicide. He just got out of thehospital and is doing better. Please pray for continued improvement and for him and his family as they are unchurched. We are hoping that through their knowledge of our prayers they will come to a better knowledge of Christ's love for them.

A dear sister in Christ, Michelle Conaway, has a young son, Caleb, who is undergoing reconstructive surgery of the mouth and face at Texas Children’s today.
Please pray that the surgery will be successful in every way. This child has had multiple surgeries since birth, and although he is only 5, he faces each surgery with courage and a great attitude. They will be in the hospital for the rest of the week, and home for several weeks of extended recovery. Michelle has another son, Cameron, and she home schools both of her boys. She and her husband Stacy, and her daughter Jessica have been on a long and difficult road, with assaults from the devil from many different sides. They prevail with their strong faith and intense love for each other. Please pray that God continues to give this mother the strength required to handle each and every day with the love and patience of a saint. I have a deep admiration for this woman, who is constantly counting her blessings in the midst of difficult and trying circumstances, and for her husband who is steadfast, loving, hard working, and kind.

Judy is a single mom of 4 children, and is currently in a legal battle for custody of her kids. She is the sole provider for her kids and mom, who has severe COPD. Judy has recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Please pray for effective cancer treatment, for Judy to be able to continue to work, and for God's protection over the children and the family.

update on my sweet 14 year old cousin, Alyssa

The Hodgkin's is in the swollen lymph nodes under her arm, other lymph nodes in her chest area, and has invaded her spleen. She also has some kind of cyst on her thyroid gland and some cysts on one of her kidneys. (She had an ultrasound on those today for further evaluation.) Alyssa is classified as being stage four. Altho, this doesn't sound good, the doctor is hopeful! Praise the Lord, we have our Hope in the Great Physician, Jesus Christ Our Lord!! So please keep lifting up Alyssa, her parents & grandparents! Our Aunt Cissy, who is battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer, was told that it had spread to her brain and has been given 2 months. She was released from the hospital and is now going to start Hospice care. Becca Yee was admitted to Memorial Herman Katy Hospital yesterday evening. Her throat went into spasms, and they found that she has a bladder infection. They have her on an antibiotic through the veins . She is in room 609. Thank you for all your prayers for Becca, Michael, & the kids.

Raejean's nephew, Austin, went on a missions trip with his youth group. They are in Denver, and their first day was a trip to Columbine High where they had devotionals.
